Abundantly creative, prolific, reflective, visionary, inspiring, deliciously dark, and integrous are just a few things that come to mind when I think of works from digital artist Skottie O’Mahony. Whether the subject is a status quo topic, a vibrant portrait, or an elaborate pattern, his signature bold and edgy style cuts through your senses like a warm blade on butter. It’s a palette très magnifique!
Georgina Kreutzer
It was love at first sight when I happened upon Georgina Kreutzer’s fabulous Faber-Castell work. Elaborate doesn’t even begin to describe the chef’s kiss perfection that is her command of color and depth. In fact, I am oh so proud to dawn one of her Oxford originals on my dining room wall. Like all her work, it draws the eye by serving up playfulness and intrigue on a silver platter supported by razor sharp skill.
Agnes Cecile
I’m not sure about your experience with different art mediums, but as someone who has tinkered with most, I will say that watercolor is HARD. And yet, Agnes Cecile makes it look effortless. Agonizingly beautiful, poetic, mysterious, and downright masterful, I dare you to rip your eyes away from her work. (Hint: it’s not possible. I’ve had to grow a second pair of eyes to write this post.)

Architecture, meets illustration, meets Paris. Ooh la la! It’s a throuple made in heaven. Tubidu owner and creator, Brigitta, is an artist who knows and loves Paris inside and out, and it shows. For fellow Francophiles, you will be seriously obsessed with her keen eye for detail and signature style. Generally speaking, I’m not a big fan of color (as you know), UNLESS it’s done well. And, Tubidu is the perfect example of marrying vibrance and sophistication. Trés chic! And with all the wonderful options avaialble, you can find the perfect pop of color for any area of your home.
Molly M Designs
Intricate doesn’t even begin to describe the level of detail Molly brings to her lasercut art pattern designs. If you’re a fan of geometric shapes and stunning patterns, you will absolutely delight in her work. Maddeningly complex and oh, so satisfying to behold, I seriously can’t wrap my brain OCD-inhabited brain around how she does it. But, man, am I glad she does.
Bradley Wood
Bradley Wood art showcases all the drama, lavishness, and opulence of a bygone era and masterfully packages in a modern-day display of brilliance. Somehow, I feel like I have one foot in a glamorous, hedonistic Great Gatsby party, while the other is still somehow magically planted in the present day. My imagination runneth wild in all the best ways though his bold use of color, rich intricacy, and masterfully exaggerative style. Basically the textbook definition of artistic swagger (totally a thing).
Obvious State
Obvious State takes everything I love and wraps it into one gosh-darn delightful, black-and-white (yes!) package. It is the perfect marriage of literary genius and brilliant illustrative design. It’s almost too much for my little word nerd, art-loving heart to take. Almost. One look at their work and I’m instantly whisked away to a 1920s Parisien cafe, having coffee with my buds F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, and Gertrude Stein. Every piece is awe-inspiring by itself and would look phenomenal in any space but when you make it a collage party of prints, that’s where the true metaphorical magic lies. My imaginary library already has an entire wall set aside for such a masterpiece. One day…
Linda Colletta
Beautifully-contained chaos on a canvas is what comes to mind when I see a Linda Colletta abstract painting (and I mean that in the best way possible). The way she brilliantly layers textures, colors, shapes, styles, and whole moods creates the feeling of solving a complex math problem or hearing a symphony on your own wavelength. It’s just so satisfying and rewarding to behold. And, for those with some available space looking to increase the impact, one of her large-scale pieces would make for a MAJOR statement piece.
Etta Kostick
Frank-Lloyd-Wright suave meets dazzling stained glass design thanks to Etta Kostick’s modern, yet classic geometric patterns. It’s what I never knew I needed in my life. But, oh, how I do!
